A few steps can keep a wheelchair user out of a clinic, a school, a bank or a temple. The same steps keep an older resident from the common areas of a housing society. Often a ramp won’t fit, and a passenger lift isn’t possible. A lift for the stairs can solve it.
Three lifts for three kinds of steps
Wheelchair platform stairlift — for a staircase
A platform runs on a rail along the stairs, straight or with turns. The wheelchair user rolls on, rides up and rolls off, without leaving the wheelchair. When it is not in use, the platform folds up.

Platform lift — for one floor up
A platform lift carries a wheelchair user straight up to the next floor, seated in the wheelchair. It is on quotation.
Step lift — for a few steps at the door
A step lift is for a few steps at an entrance. It is on quotation. We confirm the size, the lifting height and the load at your free survey.
Your exact price depends on your stairs and your site, and is confirmed in a written quotation after a free survey at your site.
Power cuts
Every seated stairlift works in a power cut. It runs on batteries that charge from a normal plug point. The wheelchair platform stairlift and the platform lift work in a power cut too.
Who makes them
Our wheelchair platform stairlifts, platform lifts and step lifts are made by Ascendor, in Austria. For people who can sit, our seated stairlifts are the Elan and Elite (USA) for straight stairs. For stairs with turns there is the UP (the Netherlands) and the Eliva, made in Romania in Bruno’s own factory.
Common stairs in a housing society
Common stairs need the society’s consent — we give you a letter for the society. It can be removed later.

- Who will use it? A wheelchair user needs a platform. Someone who can sit and stand may need a seated stairlift.
- What are the stairs like? Straight or with turns, how many steps, and where the landings are. We measure your stairs at the free survey.
